Barney's

Describe the sights, sounds, and smells of a busy shopping mall which you had recently visited.

Barneys was a place packed with lots of goodies to buy, and it provides everything that you need. It was located in New York, the United States of America, near Central Park. The sight of it from afar was similar to a huge castle with bright angelic lights shimmering around it during winter.

Everywhere, I see people. The rush of people to and fro created the atmosphere of happiness and warmth with the people around me. Whether it was your family, friends or a lover that was with you right then, happiness was present.

The trees around the shopping mall were coniferous trees, decorated with bright lights, angels and a star at the top of each tree. The sweet scent of Christmas was present with the people, the decorations and the bright lights all together.

It seemed like everywhere around Barneys I went. There was always a choir singing or a group of people playing musical instruments/ They sang and played Christmas songs like “Jingle Bells” and “Let It Snow”, accompanied by warm smiles on their faces that made people felt comfortable. Even if there was no choir or band playing, among the busy people talking, I could hear some children humming Christmas songs.

Almost everyone was wearing Santa Claus’s hat while clinging small bells with their loved ones. Of course, there were some lonely people sitting at the dark, deserted corners of the shopping mall. They would wait under each tree for someone, hopefully a loved one to spend Christmas with.

The exit of Barneys were a crowd of people carrying shopping bags, wearing Santa’s hat with their companies, looking very much delighted with the presence of bright lights accompanying the place for it to be as happy as possible. If I could give a nickname of this site, I would’ve called it a Happyland.

Fairly consistent; good description of the sights and sounds of White Christmas in a shopping mall. If there are more description of people, it would be much better! Overall at this point, I’m fairly happy with the effort. Keep up the good work!
